Japan Ousted On Penalty Kicks

Paraguay and Japan played for 120 minutes, and couldn’t muster a single goal between them. neither one of these teams had ever made it past the round of 16. both teams looked very tentative for long stretches of the match, with quality scoring chances being few and far between. Paraguay ended up winning 5-3 on penalties, and can now look forward to getting their ass whooped by Spain in the quarter-finals. I don’t have any video or photos from the match readily available, so here’s a video of one of Japan’s greatest exports, Piston Honda, in an epic clash with Little Mac, from their legendary title fight in 1988…
