Tim & Eric Chrimbus Spectacular Tour Announced

even tho their critically-acclaimed [adult swim] show came to an end earlier this year, Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim are taking their unique comedy stylings back on the road this fall with the Chrimbus Spectacular tour, which kicks off Nov. 1 in Seattle. Neil Hamburger is scheduled to be one of the opening acts. I saw him emcee a Faith No More show in April, fuckin’ hilarious!

legend has it that Chrimbus is a holiday observed on December 5th to commemorate gift receiving. As folklore goes, each year Winter Man travels through the forest bearing gifts for those who have kept their Chrimbus Bushes trimmed and wet. Unlike trees, the Chrimbus Bush is typically best kept neat, compact and ornamented.

it was February of 2009, when I first saw them on tour (James Quall was there) I had never heard so many obscenities uttered in a place of worship (the show was at the Sixth & I Synagogue in DC) certainly one’s vision perspective on in-your-face comedy takes on a whole new meaning when you’ve had Tim Heidecker’s crotch several feet from your face-face-face…

David Liebe Hart was there, and I saw him outside the venue hocking some cds. the great thing about Tim & Eric is that you never know whether the cast of cable-access regulars they bring on tour with them are acting, or just being themselves. I recommend anyone who is even a casual fan of theirs, should check them out. in case I haven’t mentioned this before, Tim & Eric are also responsible for the hilarious new Old Spice commercials. it’s nice to see their talents being acknowledged by the mainstream.

season 4 of Tim & Eric Awesome Show Great Job is out today on DVD…
