Pacquiao Captures Title In Eighth Different Weight Class

everyone already knows Manny Pacquiao is the best pound-for-pound fighter in the game today. it’s just a damn shame Antonio Margarito had to find this out first-hand. Pacquiao won by unanimous decision (one judge scored all 12 rounds to Pacquiao) on Saturday nite, to win the vacant WBC junior middleweight title. this fight was about as lopsided as it could get, without producing a knockdown. Margarito’s face was a total mess by the end, with blood streaming from a cut on his cheek, and his right eye having almost completely swollen shut. despite having a 4″ disadvantage in reach, Pacquiao dominated in every statistical category, landing 245 more punches than Margarito. immediately after the fight, talk turned to Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and whether we will get the only fight anyone truly cares about seeing. if no deal can be struck, it appears as tho Shane Mosley would be next in line for Pacquiao.
