Like That Time I Used Reverse Psychology To Convince A Woman To Buy A Canon D-SLR

with the holiday season over, and the economy balls deep in the shitter, I have plenty of time to engage customers in one-on-one conversations in which I implement a wide variety of tactics to sell them the cameras I want them to buy. customer is always right?!? nah, not really. we terminated our policy of charging exorbitant restocking fees on open items, but that doesn’t mean I’m just gonna start selling Kodak cameras all willy-nilly now! truth is there are only a handful of cameras I even recommend using (of the ones we carry) they are as follows:
Canon A3100, SD1400, SX210, SX30
Panasonic ZS5, FH22
Nikon S6000, S8100, P100

SLRs are really too complex for me to get into right now, b/c I hafta be at work in about 1.5 hours, and I haven’t even gotten dressed yet. I was busy watching Family Guy: It’s A Trap…in 720p. I use the Canon Rebel T2i, but it just comes down to personal preference. u really can’t go wrong with any of them.

so last week a customer came in looking for an SLR. she had older Nikon lenses, but was leaning toward a Canon. after a few minutes of heming and hawing, she finally decided on the Nikon D3100, but that’s when she asked me what camera I used. to which I replied “oh, well I use the Rebel T2i, BUT, don’t let that stop u from buying a Nikon.” somehow, that bit of unintended reverse psychology swayed her in the direction of Canon. she bought a filter, a card, a case, no big whoop. shit like this is the only thing that keeps me interested in my job. I should probably be getting a paycheck from Canon, considering how much I’ve slurped for them over the last 4 years…
