DC Area Earthquake Mistaken For DC Area Comedian Named Earthquake

at approx. 1400 hours EDT on August 23, I lived thru the first earthquake of my life. I was just minding my own business, drinking a Sierra Nevada, listening to some Danzig, when I heard this rumbling. at first, I thought it was a low-flying helicopter, but the noise kept getting louder, and everything starting shaking. I was all like, what the fuck is going on here? after about 30 seconds, it subsided, but it was still pretty intense. happy to report, there were no injuries, and only a few items were disshelved. it registered a 5.9 on the Richter Scale, which for the DC area is significant. too lazy to go back and see when the last time something like that happened around these parts, but I don’t remember anything of this magnitude ever happening. and now, here’s some stand-up comedy from DC native, Earthquake…

Last time was 1897, but that was 5.7, and this was 5.8 (downgraded from 5.9).

  2. Clint Says:

    Sorry, the 1897 was a 5.8 too.
