Brock Lesnar Loss At UFC 141 Fuels Speculation Of A WWE Return

in his first match, since losing the UFC Heavyweight Championship to Cain Velasquez, in October 2010, Brock Lesnar was soundly beaten by Alistair Overeem. the end came at the 2:46 mark of round 1, as Overeem landed a liver kick, followed by a flurry of punches, to win by TKO. Overeem will go on to face Junior Dos Santos for the title, while Lesnar announced his retirement, fueling speculation that he will return to WWE for a one-time payoff at WrestleMania (perhaps against the Undertaker?!?)

I wrote around the time of the Dos Santos-Veasquez fight in November, that Overeem would beat Lesnar. Lesnar is a phenomenal athlete, and a former NCAA collegiate wrestling champion. I always thought he was too one-dimensional for MMA. great close-in and grappling in takedowns, but not very good from a distance when it came to his striking. would Brock Lesnar have gotten as far as he did in UFC, were it not for the monster push he got from WWE?
